NeurOptimal® is easy to learn and operate, but newcomers naturally still have questions. I can help with those questions, but before I get to that, here's my first recommendation:
If you are not already a member of the
NeurOptimal® PASS (Premium Access Support Systems) community, I highly recommend joining.
PASS membership includes technical support and also makes available the Beginner's Forum, the Clinical Forum, and many specialty forums — all helpful, interesting and educational. There are also forums available on PASS in Dutch, French and Spanish. It's a community that contributes its knowledge generously. I've learned a lot on PASS from my colleagues. For several years, I've been co-moderating some of the forums (right now, the Beginner's and Clinical Forums). It's been a real joy to be part of welcoming newcomers and supporting trainers, and to learn from and hear what my colleagues are doing. There are also many additional resources on PASS — sample forms, power point presentations, and recordings of webinars taught by experienced trainers on a variety of topics. In case you're wondering, I don't get anything if you sign up for PASS — except the pleasure of getting to know you and your work.
You can get many of your questions answered as part of a PASS membership, but if you'd like some one on one consulting, here are some of the ways I can help:
NeurOptimal® is very easy to learn and to use. That means that a large part of our job as trainers is the quality of our relationships with our clients and our communication with them. Here are some examples of things we can work on together:
- Explaining neurofeedback in clear language.
- The client's first phone or email contact with you.
- Talking to clients and others about the differences between NeurOptimal® and other systems.
- Getting clients off to the best possible start.
- Helping clients monitor their progress.
- Things that might block progress and what to do about them.
We can also work productively on the practical side of your business, including:
- Fees and other financial matters.
- Becoming comfortable with technology (if you knew where I started!).
- Looking at how best to market your business.
- What people need to get from your website.
